cdrom always shows a directory of an old cd

  • Follow

Each time when cd to /cdrom/cdrom0, it always shows the an old
directory of a cd which loaded before, and couldn't read any contents
of the new cd. "volmgt stop/start" doesn't help. and reboot the machine
also doesn't help. No problems with the cd and I can "boot cdrom".
Just when insert any new cds, it cannot automatically load it.

I am running solaris 9.

Thanks for advices

Verify that /etc/vold.conf contains valid data .
Compare it to /etc/vold.conf on a working system.
