CoS flag on interfaces
Can someone tell me what can set CoS flag on an interface?
ifconfig says:
e1000g0: flags=201000843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST,IPv4,CoS> mtu 1500
I have weird network problem with this machine. From time to time TCP
connections have pauses. Network snooping on a client machine shows that
it's sending TCP packets (and retransmitions because it didn't get an
ACK), but snooping on this machine doesn't show those packets. (Snooping
on the switch shows the packets.)
Those pauses last from 5 to 30 seconds. Then packets start arriving and
everything works fine. It happens with clients in local network and remote
networks. All removable hardware parts have been changed, cables were
changed, ports on the switch were changed, but nothing helped.
There are a bunch of other machines (T2000 mostly, Solaris 10u6) and none
of them shows this problem. The only difference I've seen is that the
machine which exibits network problems has CoS flag set on its interfaces,
while the other machines do not.
I've searched source on opensolaris.org for IFF_COS_ENABLED and didn't
find anything interesting, so I suppose it's set in the driver (and the
driver code is probably not open). But I have no idea why or how this flag
can be set.

Hi Drazen,
I've a similar problem over here, as you said the only difference is
the CoS-flag. Did you find any solution?
cheers,
Jan
