On Solaris 10 when I do a metastat
it gives me the disk serial and model numbers
at the botton like this:

Device Relocation Information:
Device Reloc Device ID
c3t2d0 Yes id1,sd@SSEAGATE_ST336704LSUN36G_3CD1KXJY000021317ZA4
c2t2d0 Yes id1,sd@SSEAGATE_ST336704LSUN36G_3CD1KHSY00002132DNUQ
c3t0d0 Yes

Is there any way to get the same info in
Solaris 8?

SDS 4.2.1 in Solaris 8 doesn't use that information, so I don't know of
anything in the meta* commands that will display it.

You might look at 'iostat -En' output.

Thanks!

We were wondering why one of our
raid disks showed a higher utilization
than the others and wanted to see what
the actual device was.
