I never configured Emulex HBAs on solaris . Please help me out
My server v240 coneect to Hitachi storage. storage admin said tha
they have enabled raid 5 luns to server
I have installed Emulex LP9002L recomended Solaris drives
added following lines in sd.conf and rebooted with -r opatio

name="sd" parent="lpfc" target=17 lun=1;
name="sd" parent="lpfc" target=17 lun=2
still i don't see any luns in format command

Your storage admin needs to add the Solaris HBA WWN to the host storage
domain on the HDS or you will not be able to see any luns.
Can you see the HDS port in the messages file when you boot up? If not,
he has not done this. He also needs to map LUNS to the proper host
storage domain.
This is a big problem in environments where the storage admins are
separated from the Server admins.
I can almost guarantee that he is not presenting something properly.
Is the swicth zoned? Who maintains the switch?
