I had the same problem on a SunBlade-150. No idea why this is but as a workaround, I installed the flash update from a tftp server. Install the flash-update-Blade100-Blade150-latest in the tftpboot and make a link with the hex encoded IP address. Populate /etc/ethers and start the tftpd and the flash update should work. I needed it to do a test installation of Solaris 11 Express which needs the latest PROM version. Summary: Sun Blade 100 - strange behavior after firmware update.
I guess I could do another OBP firmware upgrade on another Sun Blade 100 to see if this is a repeatable error, but then I might have two useless Sun Blade 100's.
