Go to the console, enter STOP-A (press STOP and A keys together) and at the
ok prompt enter the command "sync".
A crash dump will taken.
(Assuming you haven't disabled STOP-A or dump processing.)

What exactly are you trying to achieve?
Depending on the version and what you're trying to achieve you've got :
* reboot -d
* stop-a/sync
* echo "rootdir/W 0" |adb -kw
* savecore -L (Make sure that swap is a _real_ dedicated device first)
The first 3 of these will panic your box with varying levels of "cleanness".
The last will generate a "live savecore", which is basically a crashdump
without crashing.

As a matter of interest, why do you want to do this?
