ftpd logging

I am currently logging all ftp sessions to a log file and would like
to either eliminate password entries or have them written to the log
file in an encrypted form. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks,
Tony

You didn't specify which ftpd you're running. Solaris' in.ftpd is
limited in what you can do to configure it. What other ftpd's have you
tried:

http://www.ncftpd.com/
http://www.proftpd.org/
http://www.pureftpd.org/
http://freshmeat.net/projects/vsftpd/?topic_id=89
http://www.wuftpd.org/

These can be customized to remove the password entries in the log file.
I may be wrong, but I'm not sure Solaris' in.ftpd can do this.
