Thank you for that... very helpful.... but a few questions....

1) Do I remove the DVD when it first restarts and when do I put it back
in?

2) I can't carry out the steps on page 6 as it doesn't let me input
'No' for 'override' default settings.

3) I cannot login... what is my username and password? I have a root
password.. but no idea of username.

after 1st reboot you should avoid a subsequent booting from the DVD ...

Phil,
sorry is some points were unclear.

My guide aims to any kind of user, with any OS experience, even Windows
:)

I'll wait some more days to collect as much feedbacks as possible and
