We have some missing application library files which was recoverd from our back up. But we need to check history of those files means when those were deleted or moved.

If you're running any sort of backup software that's not just tar, you can 
examine your catalog to see when the files changed during your backup 
runs.

There's usually a "time slider" feature in the GUI for your software to 
see the history of a file that's being backed up over time.

Backup programs keep this data so they can do incremntal backups and know 
what tapes are needed before you do a restore.

ZFS snapshots (if you use them) are your friend.
