Resize Volume

Just wonder when using vxresize to increase volume on a dedicated disk,
some documentation metioned using "vxresize vol2 +100g alloc=DISKA",
just wonder if using "vxresize vol1 +100g medianame" will also
perform the same task? Then what is the difference? It seems that the
vxresize man page doesn't mention the "alloc" option.

Thanks for advice!

Except that you're operating on different volumes and you're specifying
different names for media, then yes.

It's in the "Other Attributes" section. That section also mentions at
least one reason why you might want to use it. In general, you do not
need to use the keyword explicitly.
