Serial connection to NetraT1
Plugged a null serial cable from the serial port of a PC to Port A of Netra
T1. Running minicom on the linux PC, and configured the serial connection
to 9600/8/N/1.
The serial display works OK ( I can see the lom console, power off, power
on, ok prompt, etc... ), like so:
LOMlite starting up.

.... but typing anything on the keyboard does not seem to "send" the
characters to the serial console. ( e.g. typing "probe-scsi-all" ). Since I
can see the output, I presume that I am using the correct null modem
cable ?

This time, I tried connecting port B ( DB25 ) of an E220R to port A ( RJ45 )
of the NetraT1, using a supplied RJ45-DB25 serial cable.
From the E220R, I typed "tip hardwire", I get the same output ( LOM,
poweron, ok console, etc.. ) .. but again, typing anything on the keyboard
is not "sent" to the the console. Even if I type in "probe-scsi-all" then
press Enter ( assuming it was an echo setting ) does not yield any change
on the output.

Not exactly. You only need one wire correct to see things. You need
another wire correct to send things. So among other possibilities:
One cable has a bad wire (your transmit wire)
The null-modem adapter is miswired
The One connecter has a broken wire
The T1 has a bad connection for input
The T1 serial chip is broken
