Sol8 cfgadm doesn't show fc disk?

Does anyone know why cfgadm in Sol 8 wouldn't show SAN disk via fc
HBA's, if the drivers are installed for the HBA's and the SAN luns have
been presented?

me <- puzzled. Thanks :)

Solaris 8/9 requires the installation of the SUNWsan package along
with the asociated patches in order for fibre to work.
And once you install it you have to modify (well... you may not have
to but it would be good to check) the /kernel/drc/scsi_vhci.conf
file.

That functionality is built in to Solaris 10. It might be easier to
download and burn a copy of S10.

If I recall correctly, cfgadm will only work with the Leadville drivers.
If you're using a driver from the manufacturer of the card, it doesn't
work. At least that's what I've seen with Qlogic. The qlc driver (Sun)
works; the qla (Qlogic) doesn't.

That makes sense why everything still works, but just the cfgmgr.

The reason I wanted to use cfgmgr was to obtain WWN's.

Thanks for the help :)
