Hi,
I wonder if anyone can help with the following.
Current Config
----------------------
Solaris 7(32-bit) + Oracle 8i(32-bit) 8.1.7.4 + Sun Forte Developer
6 Update 2(32-Bit)
Forte is used for 32-bit coding for Oracle Pro*C/C++ Precompiler
Desired Config
---------------------
Solaris 9(64-bit) + Oracle 9i(64-bit) 9.2.0.5 + Sun Forte Developer
6 Update 2(32-Bit)
Can someone tell me whether
a) 32 bit apps can run on 64 bit
- I assume so but need to be sure
b) Sun Forte Developer 6 Update 2(32-Bit) can be installed on 64 bit
Solaris 9?
c) Sun Forte Developer 6 Update 2(32-Bit) can compile/run/debug
32-bit code on 64 bit Solaris 9?
d) If 64-bit Oracle 9i supports 32 bit apps calling on the Pro*C/C++
Precompiler?
Thanks in advance.

Yes. This is documented in the Solaris documentation on docs.sun.com.
Try searching for 32bit and 64bit.
