The man page of the lpadmin command suggests that the -p option refers
to the printername, however in documentation at:
http://developers.sun.com/solaris/articles/basicprinting.html the
dest option specifies the printername. In,
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=bpj05023&locale=en_US&docId=10115
the -p option refers to the queue name
Please clarify regarding the use of the -p option

I think in Solaris 2.6 printing, the Solaris printer queue name is
essentially the network "printer". If you look again at the Sun
article, the -o option specifies the destination hostname.

What _exactly_ did you type to create the queue and what, if any,
_exactly_ was any error message.
What happens if you do it using truss (e.g. truss <lpadmin command>)?
Anything interesting in what truss reports?
