strange X behaviour on S10u1
Hi,
I don't know if this is a feeling or not, but I do experience strange
behaviour in X with respect to window focus and keyboard repetition
since I moved from S9 to S10.
Keyboard repetetion can go off, probably after some apps loaded and
windows focus and "on-top" also.
The first app that I experience this with was Mozilla, now I am using
EDA tools.
Is there anyone else that has similar problems?
Also a note, the volume control tool in JDS does not work on Sunrays
only on WS!

In S10 FCS, I've sometimes seen window focus that doesn't always
shift appropriately when I select another window. It's hard to
characterize more precisely what triggers that behavior. I have to
flip back and forth a few times before it "catches".
I've also seen, in both Evolution and Mozilla, obviously repeated
redraws of the entire text selection as I drag the mouse, rather than
just extension of the selection as the pointer moves. This is on a
2x300MHz U2, which is slow enough to observe the phenomenon; perhaps
on a faster machine you wouldn't notice it. It spooks me a bit
because I normally don't see this; it's easy to imagine that somehow
there is some browser-borne malware which has interposed itself to
steal X selections (and perhaps other keyboard activity).
I wish I had enough understanding of the browser/X/graphics stack
to plant dtrace probes (or whatever) to see what is really happening
when this occurs.

You seem to have similar problems as me, I have right know just lost
repetition again which is very annoying.
I forgot to ask, do you use JDS or CDE?
I use JDS since a week ago or so, just getting used to it but maybe it
is still to buggy to use!

I use CDE exclusively.
