T3 disk firmware

As one of the disks failed in the T3, suppose we are going to replace
it. If the new disk firmware is not the same as other disks(As the T3
is 4 years old), does it necessay to upgrade all other disks firmware?
If this is the case, then each time when replacing a new disk(new disk
always comes with new firmware), then we have to upgrade other disks
again. Please advice! Thanks

Hey,

lets take a look in the SUN handbook:

The latest firmware for StorEdge T3 and T3+ Arrays and disk drives is
available in patches 109115-xx and 115180-03 or later. It is
recommended that these arrays and disk drives be updated with the
latest firmware.

I think you it's better to update your firmware.

Good Luck
