VNC connection closed unexpectedly

Help. I've been working on this off and on for several weeks and now
I'm down to the wire and need to make it work ...

I'm trying to get tightVNC server ( 1.2.8,REV=2003.04.27 from
BlastWave) running on a test server (V490 - Solaris 9). Opening the
vncviewer (RealVNC 4.1.1.0 on Windows XP) gets error - "The Connection
Closed Unexpectedly Do you wish to attempt to reconnect to
localhost:1?".

Here's the server side log file:

Do you have anything dubious in

~/.vnc/xstartup

Unless you know of things in there which are necessary, try cleaning out or
removing ~/.vnc/

Problem when multiple SCP connections in Solaris 10
We have two Solaris 10 servers (A & B) setup for sending files between them via SCP. The keys/hosts configuration are set up between the two servers. Some files got sent OK and some didn't go thru when the messages below appear, regardless of the size or type of these "unsent" files in server A : : : ssh_exc...

Why does JdbcRowSetImpl.close() close the database connection?
In my opinion it is a design flaw that JdbcRowSetImpl.close() not only closes the ResultSet, but also closes the database connection. The ResultSet.close() interface specification, i.e. the contract that JdbcRowSetImpl.close() should implement, does not mention this. I consider this also an unwanted side-effect, since the close() is a method of the RowSet, not of the Connection. Any opinions on this? Or is this simply a bug? I would like to be able to construct several JdbcRowSets on an existing Connection. The JdbcRowSet(Connection) constructor suggests this is possible. Bu...

Why does JdbcRowSetImpl.close() close the database connection?
(Posted this few weeks ago in c.l.j.databases, but got no reaction...) In my opinion it is a design flaw that JdbcRowSetImpl.close() not only closes the ResultSet, but also closes the database connection. The ResultSet.close() interface specification, i.e. the contract that JdbcRowSetImpl.close() should implement, does not mention this. I consider this also an unwanted side-effect, since the close() is a method of the RowSet, not of the Connection. And for instance CachedRowSet does as expected: not closing the connection (and usually can't). Any opinions on this? Or is this simply...
