get an event when the font size changes

I have a function that positions "decorations" on a page via
javascript and absolute positioning, based on the current positions of
other items (that are not absolutely positioned). Yes, this is a
messy way to do things but its the only way to do what I am trying to

You can see what I am trying to do here:
The idea is to display connector lines to better indicate a threaded
conversation. The lines are positioned by javascript, while the
colored boxes are just divs with differring left margins (there are no
tables), and are positioned automatically by the browser.

I have it set up to reposition the items in the onload and onresize
events. However, if the user changes the font settings, the function
won't be called so the things will be in the wrong place. Also, I
notice that they won't be printed in the right place either, as you
can see if you do a print preview.

Is there any way to get an event, or otherwise tell, when font
settings have changed? (or when it is laying things out to print)
