Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced QA Engineer to join our Quality Assessment
team. The successful candidate will be a world class engineer able to fill
this critical role within the Research and Development organization. You
will work as part of the QA group and report directly to the senior QA
Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop automated test suites for Merced core product on
supported environments
Analyze, document and verify system defects, enhancements and new features
Develop and execute manual and automated tests at all development stages to
verify product readiness for customer's production implementations
Develop and execute manual and automated regression tests
Identify, report and track software defects
Validate developer-implemented resolutions to defects
Diagnose and debug complex software issues
Work as an integral part of the Merced development team
Work closely with Product Management and Client Service teams
Requirements:
4-5 years of relevant QA experience in Web based multi-platform (Windows
2000, Linux, Solaris, MSSQL, Oracle) development environments
2 years of hands-on automation coding experience (QuickTest Pro preferable
or similar)
Scripting experience in Python, VBScript, Perl or other scripting language.
Good knowledge of data base testing, including SQL on multiple platforms
(MSSQL, Oracle, DB2)
Excellent technical and analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a team
Bachelor's degree in computer science (or equivalent)
Valuable Skills/Experience:
XML, ETL, JSP, HTML
Knowledge of Lisp/Scheme
Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, DB2
Experience with RT and CVS a plus
Familiarity with testing enterprise applications for call centers (e.g.,
Avaya, Siebel, Genesys)
